Rehoboth Ministries New Covenant Christian Church
Our Church History

On November 7, 2010, Elder Thomas sought the Lord for purpose and direction in his life. After three years of fasting, prayer and dedication, God gave Elder F. E. Thomas the vision to do a great work for the kingdom. He has faithfully served under the leadership of his father, Supt. K.H. Thomas for 35+ years at Williams Grove COGIC . He was AIM (Auxiliary in Ministries) President, Sunday School superintendent, Aim Coordinator, church musician, soloist, deacon, teacher and preacher; and as the State Evangelist for the Northern Ga. Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the Bishop Mark Walden.

With only God’s assignment to preach the gospel and equipped to lead people to Christ, Elder Thomas ventured out to fulfill God’s purpose for his life. With much fasting and prayer, God led Elder Thomas to purchase an abandoned yellow house located on 820 Highway 80 West Pooler, Ga. in late 2012. With hard work and dedication, the building was renovated.

On December 4, 2013 Pastor Thomas held his first Bible Study with approximately 20 people present at the 820 Highway 80 West Pooler, Ga. Under the direction of God, Pastor Thomas prayerful purpose was the organization of a new church family. He prayed that God would give him a name for the church and even the date of our first service. The Lord revealed to Pastor Thomas, this is where I am planting you.

The Rehoboth Ministries New Covenant church held its first worship service on March 2, 2014 at 820 Highway 80 West Pooler, Ga 31322. During their first year period at this location, the church experienced steady growth. Because of Rehoboth’s emphasis on teaching biblical principles and bringing spiritual truths to everyday reality with a daring, simple clarity, we are continuing to see growth; naturally and spiritually.

In December of 2014, the church started its next phase of expansion to accommodate growth. The plan to expand the sanctuary came with much resistance and obstacles but God’s plan prevailed. On July 16,2016 at 1:00pm the church dedicated the Sanctuary back to God. God has given Pastor and First Lady Thomas new directives for the future. The best is yet to come. To God be the glory.
